Christopher W. Macosko and the students in his group create multiphase polymer microstructures via process flows and chemical reaction. They carry out research on polymer blending, polyurethane foaming, dispersion of nano-filler in polymers, and creation of nanoparticles for drug delivery. Macosko has also been active in developing new rheological test methods and their applications. He is the author of the popular text: Rheology: Principles, Measurements, and Applications (Wiley, 1994).
The Macosko Group has produced over 420 publications and been home to nearly 100 Ph.D. and M.S. students, post-doctoral scholars, and visiting scientists. Macosko is also the Director of IPrime, the Industrial Partnership for Research in Interfacial and Materials Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
Leader U, a multi-disciplinary vehicle to help reach professors, students and other thinkers with the best in Christian thought on a variety of compelling issues.
Maclaurin Institute, a Christian study center serving the University of Minnesota community; bringing God into the marketplace of ideas by communicating the Christian worldview with its transforming potential.
